A joint partnership between Calistoga Family Center and the Mexican Consulate, Plaza Comunitaria assists adult learners in completing their elementary, secondary, and high school certification. Classes are a self-paced learning experience in Spanish, English as a second language, math, science, social studies, and general education. The program incorporates print, multi media and computer based curriculums.

Meet other moms in the community. This group meets twice a month for an hour of sharing parenting experiences with other moms and tots.
Parents want to provide a secure, safe, caring home for their families, yet stress and miscommunication are very real barriers to that goal. A home visitor works with the family as they define the issues in their household, supporting the parents and the family structure, and assisting the family as they work toward their desired goal.

How exciting is the first day of school? The Family Center helps prepare each child for kindergarten with a special backpack of their very own. It is packed full of fun activities, books and games, and is presented to the child and parent by our own education coordinator. The parents are shown how each activity prepares the child for success in kindergarten.
