Students with overwhelming issues in their lives have a counselor they can turn to for help. The Student Assistance Program Coordinator will assist students to overcome obstacles in their lives and help them on their way to personal and academic success.

Third through sixth graders can participate after school in the Think Tank at Calistoga Elementary School. Students receive one hour of homework help, followed by an enrichment period, including activities such as: arts and crafts, SPARK fitness, model building, hip hop dance, and more. The junior high school students can find assistance with home work from the Eighth Period homework program, for 90 minutes after school, four days a week.
Migrant Education provides tutoring and one-on-one support for children of migrant families to encourage attainment of higher levels of education.

Bigs and Littles typically meet once a week to read together, play sports or simply talk about life and personal issues. The relationship has been shown to increase a student's self –confidence, increase their performance at school and have a better attitude toward school.
Youth4Youth pairs high school students with elementary school students for peer mentoring. The Calistoga Youth 4 Youth meet weekly at the Boys and Girls Club.

Young people concerned about gang-related issues can meet one-on-one and in groups with a trained gang diversion specialist to learn more about the risks inherent in gang involvment.

The Calistoga Teen Center is a safe, adult-supervised place for junior and senior high school students to go after school and during summer vacation, located at the Monhoff Center in Calistoga.Teens are encouraged to participate in any of the activities offered including sports, home work help, classes, computers, field trips, or they can just hang out with friends.

Calistoga is a small town community that wants to treat its youth with respect, especially when they first begin showing signs of poor behavior and decision making. Youth who commit a first offense crime may qualify for the Diversion program, which provides voluntary support for young people and their families so that young people can avoid getting lost in the juvenile justice system.
